DHEC 61:56 rules allow for licensed engineers to design a septic system if a site has been denied by DHEC.

Request more information

Your local DHEC office representative may have turned your lot down for a conventional septic for a variety of reasons. Whatever they may be, you're not out of options. We work with a handful of great engineers in South Carolina who have successfully obtained dozens of septic permits for their customers after they have been denied.

When an engineer designs a septic system in this manner they are taking on liability for the performance of the system based on the manufacturer's claims and are inclined to design systems that will last a lifetime.

Many engineers choose to work with AQWA using Orenco manufactured Advantex treatment with Geoflow drip irrigation dispersal, because they are confident that the system + the after sales support provided by AQWA and Orenco will be a winning combination for decades to come. We have sample data from hundreds of systems in North Carolina that we have collected over 15+ years and an operations and maintenance process that will reassure even the biggest skeptic.

Areas we have systems located included: Lake Wylie, Lake Murray, Lake Keowee, Greenville County, York County, Rock Hill, Lancaster, Charlotte metro and beyond.

Reach out to Michael at info@aqwa.net to find out more about the process and get recommendations for engineers, soils assessors and installers in your area.

NC's engineered option is relatively new. Use this option to expedite the permitting process and cut through red tape.

The engineered option in NC is fairly new. It is being used to expedite the permitting process in areas experiencing long delays from the local environmental health department.

If you are a developer or own a property that the local environmental health department has turned down for a septic permit it is worth it to consider how the engineered option may work for you.

Onsite wastewater rules seem like they should be pretty straight forward but different interpretations of rules exist at local environmental health departments and you may find that an engineer well-versed in the onsite wastewater rules in conjunction with a good soils scientist could help you overcome your onsite wastewater obstacle.

We love to work with engineers, developers and homeowners to tackle challenging onsite wastewater situations.  If you are a developer, builder, or land investor start the conversation with us and we can help you envision the brightest future.

Areas we have systems include the Outer Banks (OBX), Carteret County, the Crystal Coast, Lake Norman, Hyco Lake, Wake, Durham, Orange, Person, Chatham counties and beyond.

My experience has shown me that the people who are exceptionally good in business aren’t so because of what they know, but because of their insatiable need to know more.

Advantex = Lifetime Septic Solutions

Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren’t used to an environment where excellence is expected.
— Steve Jobs

An installer and soils assessor in South Carolina says he recommends Advantex with drip irrigation as a solution to his customers because he is in the business of installing "lifetime septic systems."

That's the best summary and praise of our approach to onsite wastewater that we could ask for. We sell treatment solutions and provide maintenance with a "lifetime" mindset. Other competitor's products and service has come and gone with the ups and downs of the economy, but Orenco the manufacturer and AQWA are here to stay.
